Medium Guinea Pig Cage FAQS
How big should a cage be for guinea pigs?
We recommend you choose an indoor guinea pig cage that is at least 4x2 (1.40 x 0.70 x 0.35 m) to house up to 2 guinea pigs. If you have more piggies, check out this guide to cage sizes.
Is a medium sized guinea pig cage big enough for two guinea pigs?
Yes, our 4x2 cages can be enough to house 2 guinea pigs. However, a pair of male guinea pigs will require more space to limit bickering, so we'd recommend getting a large or extra large cage.
How does a medium guinea pig cage compare to a large one?
A medium guinea pig cage is 1.40 x 0.70 x 0.35 m (4x2). While a large guinea pig cage is 1.75 x 0.70 x 0.35 m (5x2), offering extra space to house another piggy or to limit bickering between male piggies.
Can a medium cage be expanded as my guinea pigs grow?
Yes, all of our C&C guinea pig cages can be expanded to welcome more piggies or add extras like a stand or loft.
Is a medium guinea pig cage easy to clean and maintain?
Yes, all of our indoor guinea pig cages are designed to be easy to clean by giving you access to every corner of their home. Check out this guide to cleaning a guinea pig cage for tips!
