Safe and stable
Room for two piggies
Soft corduroy
Soft like a bed, safe like a hideout.
Description
Finally, a thoughtfully designed bed for guinea pigs. Too often, careful design, quality materials and considered construction are reserved for big pets. But why should dogs and cats get all the good stuff?
We knew guinea pig beds needed a serious overhaul. The Nest™ is our answer: a structured, padded bed designed around the way they and small rabbits actually rest. Developed exclusively in partnership with a Japanese design house, it takes inspiration from the quiet simplicity of Japanese pet design, combining the softness of a bed with the sheltered feeling of a hideout. The result is a cosy little space to settle, nap and feel safe.
Made with premium cord fabric and a thick padded interior, The Nest™ has high surrounding walls and a low front entry, giving piggies a sense of shelter without making it difficult to hop in and out. Inside, a plush removable cushion provides a soft, supportive place to properly switch off.
And because good design needs to work for humans too, the cushion lifts straight out and goes in the washing machine. That’s where the hay and the mess end up, so the shell only needs a spot clean. Available in six considered colourways, it sits with the rest of the Essentials collection in your Kavee habitat.
This isn’t another floppy fleece bed. It’s a thoughtfully constructed piece of piggy furniture, designed around their comfort, their habits and the way they live.

The cushion is where the hay and the mess end up, so it’s the part that goes in the machine.
- Lift the cushion out and shake off any hay and poops.
- Pop the cushion in a Kavee laundry bag and machine wash at 30°C with a splash of our pet-safe detergent.
- Air dry it on a rack, away from the tumble dryer and radiators.
- For the shell, vacuum or brush off the hay, then wipe any marks gently with a damp cloth.
- Let everything dry fully before your piggies move back in.
Good to know
The shell is spot clean only. It has a shaped sponge inside that holds its walls up, so keep it out of the washing machine and don’t soak it. A gentle wipe with a damp cloth keeps it clean without damaging it.
Pick up a set of The Nest™ Spare Cushions too, so there’s always a clean, dry cushion in the Nest while the other is in the wash.
