Whether you’re about to welcome a new member of your furry family or wish to gift your piggies more room to zoom, this cage extension gives them extra space without replacing your existing set-up.

Easily turn your 3x2, 4x2, or 5x2 cage into a large cage for guinea pigs, ready to fit your whole furry family with no DIY skills needed. Simply slot the extra grids into the provided connectors to expand the cage, and add in the brand new coroplast base (which comes already pre-cut and ready to fold!).

To ensure that even the smallest of floofs can enjoy our cages, we have developed our grids with small holes and thin meshing. Compared to industry standards, our design makes this cage extra safe by preventing baby piggies from getting stuck in the bars or making a great escape (as long as they're over 8 weeks old).

And don’t forget to get creative by choosing your favourite colour of coroplast to mix or match to your current base, always combined with a super comfy fleece liner for piggies (a must-have to keep them comfy!) - there’s something for every floof!

HOW TO ASSEMBLE

The assembly of Kavee C&C cages for guinea pigs is very simple. Just assemble the grids together using connectors and ties. As for the plastic base in coroplast, with its pre-cut locking slots, it can easily be assembled by folding the corners and inserting the hooks in the slots. No tool or tape is required for assembly.

CARING INSTRUCTIONS

Kavee C&C cages can be cleaned simply and quickly with the following steps:

1. Remove your pets from the cage then scoop up any poops, dirt, and hay, and remove any other waste.

2. Remove the dirty bedding and clean the coroplast sheet with a damp sponge and piggy-safe No Non-Scents Cage Cleaner or wipe it clean with our Wheeky Clean Wipes.

3. Dry your coroplast with a cloth. 

4. Set up your cage again! 

CONTENT

This C&C guinea pig cage set contains wire grid panels, connectors, and all the corrugated plastics required for the cage expansion.

3x2 to 4x2 Extension Content: 2 grids, 4 connectors, 1 4x2 coroplast base.

4x2 to 5x2 Extension Content: 2 grids, 4 connectors, 1 5x2 coroplast base.

5x2 to 6x2 Extension Content: 2 grids, 4 connectors, 5 cable ties, 1 nibble guard, 2 3x2 coroplast bases.

Every cage also comes with assembly instructions provided in digital format (sent alongside the order confirmation email).

MATERIALS

Powder coated steel grids (eco & pet friendly paint), ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) connectors, transparent PVC nibble guard, corrugated polypropylene (coroplast) base.

PRODUCT DIMENSIONS

3x2 to 4x2 Extension Size: The grids are 35 x 35 cm (14 x 14 inches) while the coroplast base is 70 x 140 cm (27 x 55 inches).

4x2 to 5x2 Extension Size: The grids are 35 x 35 cm (14 x 14 inches) while the coroplast base is 70 x 175 cm (27 x 69 inches).

5x2 to 6x2 Extension Size: The grids are 35 x 35 cm (14 x 14 inches) while the coroplast base is 70 x 105 cm (27 x 41 inches).

WARNINGS

Make sure to remove the protective film from the clear panels before setting up the cage. While this cage is suitable even for baby pigs older than 8 weeks, make sure to test that it’s safe for the size of your pet as every piggy is different.

The powder coating should not wear off with normal use (emptying the cage, changing the liner, your furry friends running into it). If your pet is very determined, they may chew off small parts of the coating, however it is totally safe as it is non-toxic.

Most animals will not chew the coroplast sheet. However, if this happens, you must immediately prevent this behaviour by covering the edge of the coroplast sheet, using a cloth, cardboard or a nibble guard. Some animals sometimes need a little time to adapt to their new habitat and lose this bad habit after a while.
